Shipping and Delivery Policy

Please carefully review our shipping and delivery policy when purchasing our products. This policy will apply to any order you place with us.

All times and dates given for delivery of products are given in good faith, they are estimates only. This does not affect your statutory rights. Unless specifically noted, estimated delivery times reflect the earliest available delivery.

Royal Mail costings
Standard Royal Mail First Class – This is typically delivered within 24 hours.

The various sizes of delivery boxes are as follows.

Large Letter (box size 35.5.x.25.x.2.5cm)
£1.90 – up to 250g (typically 1 or two small bare rooted cuttings)
£2.30 – up to 500g
£2.50 - up to 750g

Small Parcel (box size 45 x35 x16cm)
£3.19 – up to 2kg (typically a small potted plant)

Medium parcel
£4.69 – up to 2 kg (typically a medium plant or 2 small plants and a cutting)
£6.19 – up to 10Kg (this could be a mixture of plants or a large plant with a big pot)
This is the largest size I have had to use with about 4 to 5 plants in a box.

Other Options from Royal Mail are (price quoted is typical for a medium parcel, see measurements above, of up to 1kg)

Tracked 24 - Priority - £5.89
Tracked 48 – Standard - £5.09

First Class - includes up to £20 compensation for contents
Signed for - includes up to £20 compensation for contents
Tracked 24 – includes up to £150 compensation for contents
Tracked 48 - includes up to £150 compensation for contents
Next Day Delivery - includes up to £750 compensation for contents


To Note
The cost of shipping in the UK has vastly increased over the last 24 months, and it is difficult to absorb into our plant prices, so we want to be totally transparent with you what the cost of actual postage is and charge for it. The price is not built into the cost of the plant. I know it is fantastic when you can find free shipping, but trust me, a small business can not absorb the cost unless they put the shipping costs onto the plant price.

A small amount is included in the plant price for wrapping and packing the plant ready for shipping. This would typically be up to £1, depending on the size of the plant.

Our packaging typically used will be a cardboard box, and any of the following:- polyfil, tissue paper, shredded paper, bubble wrap, plastic pillows, starch peanuts, brown paper, and corrugated cardboard.

We try our utmost to reuse or recycle packaging, this can include using any packaging we receive ourselves, find in local supermarkets, and decorative paper/tissue/napkins/washi tape from an old and large personal craft stash!

The majority of the above materials are recycled, but we do buy small boxes (called Large Letters), bubble wrap, corrugated cardboard and polyfil and clear tape.

It is part of our branding here at Now Let’s Get Rooted, that the wrapping looks smart and almost ready to give as a gift but certainly something that when you open your packaging, it makes you feel special or excited to open.

We do not offer international shipping due to laws regarding the export of plants.

If delivery is delayed for any reason, we will let you know as soon as possible and will advise you of a revised date for delivery. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Return Policy



I have a no return policy because a living plant is a perishable item, once a purchase is finalised you cannot return the item and expect a refund or a replacement item.

At Now Let's Get Rooted we try our best to ensure that photographs and plant descriptions on our website are accurate. If you feel the plant you receive is not as described on our website or it has perished enroute, please take photographs within 10 hours of your receiving the plant.

Please then send us a message by Email attaching your photographs and explain the condition of the plant or what it is that you feel was not accurately portrayed in the plant’s description.

We can offer multiple solutions when your order is not right, you just need to reach out to us. Please contact us in the first instance, rather than using a bad review to explain the issue.

We take great care in packing your order and protecting it the best that we can ready for shipping to you, but we cannot be held responsible when the packaging is damaged by the carrier. These issues do happen and if you contact us with photographs as above, we can discuss how to move forward to solve the issue and discuss with the carrier, typically Royal Mail.
